Tell us a little bit about yourself…

Hey hey, everyone!! My name is Reggie Vantrease and I am a Strength & Conditioning coach based out of Chicago! I attended Lewis University and majored in Sports Management (concentration in Exercise Science) & Business Administration. Being in the game for 9 years now, I have worked with over 800 clients from various age groups and ability levels; this ranges from youth athletes to the professional ranks in 15 different sports. I myself have played many sports and had the pleasure to be able to play rugby professionally.

What is your ultimate goal?

My goal is to open my own sports performance center and work with underprivileged youth. Also, I’d love to also still dabble in music production.

How do you motivate yourself to achieve this goal?

 I grew up poor and couldn’t afford to work with someone like myself in the strength and conditioning arena. I know I have a mission in Chicago to make this happen. Simple as that.

What is your best sport memory?

Being able to be awarded All CICA Conference in Rugby also being named to the All Midwest Team.

Who is your role model?

My mom would probably be considered my role model due to her selflessness. We’re here to help others out here.

What is your favorite training exercise and why? 

My favorite exercise would probably be squatting. Front, Back, Goblet, you name it! It’s just such a fundamental move and needed for function as a whole.
